Allan I. Jacob, MD
President
Dr. Jacob, founder of the company, has
served as President since Physicians Dialysis
commenced operations in 1989. Dr. Jacob, a Board
Certified Internist and Nephrologist, has over 30
years of health care experience including 5 years as
founder and President of Home Intensive Care, Inc.
(“HIC”), a publicly traded dialysis company later
acquired by W.R. Grace. During his term at Home
Intensive Care he was very instrumental in the
development, implementation, and commercialization
of home hemodialysis programs.
Arturo Fernandez, CPA, MBA
Executive Vice President
Mr. Fernandez has
served as The Company’s permanent Chief Executive
Officer since December 2005. Mr. Fernandez was hired
as the Chief Financial Officer for Physicians Dialysis and its
subsidiaries in December 1995. He has over 20 years
of health insurance and related health care
experience. Prior to joining Physicians Dialysis, Mr. Fernandez
served as Controller for CAC-United Healthcare and
as Chief Financial Officer for Ramsay Life and
Health Insurance Co., both subsidiaries of United
HealthCare Corporation. He is a Certified Public
Accountant, and holds a Master’s in Accounting
Information Systems and a Master’s in Business
Administration.
Kimberly Bordelon, RN, BSN, CNN
Vice President of Operations
Mrs. Bordelon was
hired as the Vice President of Operations/Chief
Operating Officer in 2002. Mrs. Bordelon has over 17
years of nursing experience with 15 years in the
field of nephrology. Mrs. Bordelon initially began her
nursing career as an Intensive Care nurse. From
there she ventured into nephrology nursing working a
variety of positions that included acute dialysis,
chronic dialysis and Director of Nursing. In
addition to the previously described positions, Mrs.
Bordelon served as educator, clinical specialist,
Administrator, and Area Manager at the corporate
level for the largest non-profit dialysis provider
in the United States where she was responsible for
over 50 dialysis facilities. Mrs. Bordelon holds a
Bachelors of Science Degree in Nursing and is a
Certified Nephrology Nurse.
