Staff Assisted Home Dialysis, Nursing
Home Dialysis, and Rehabilitation Center Dialysis
Our Home Dialysis program brings our 20 years of dialysis
experience to the comfort of your home. We provide one-on-one
staff assisted dialysis treatments in your private home, nursing
home, or rehabilitation center. Physicians Dialysis can schedule patient treatments
to suit the patient’s lifestyle and needs with regard to other
therapies the patient may be receiving. In addition to the conveniences
of home dialysis, clinical data shows that patients who dialyze
at home have:
- Higher adequacy of dialysis
- Lower morbidity
- Decreased hospitalizations
- Higher level of rehabilitation
Physicians Dialysis has contracts with multiple HMOs as well as
nursing homes/rehabilitation centers throughout South
Florida and the West Coast of Florida to provide dialysis
services. Physicians Dialysis continues to develop and strengthen the
relationships that it has developed over the past years with
our various partners.
Acute Dialysis
Physicians Dialysis also offers dialysis services
at:
- Acute Care Hospitals
- Long Term Care Hospitals
- Rehabilitation Hospitals
Physicians Dialysis has been providing acute dialysis services
for over 17 years in the State of Florida and has agreements
with hospitals across the State of Florida to offer Acute Bedside
Hemodialysis, Acute Peritoneal Dialysis, CRRT and other forms
of renal replacement therapies. Our nursing staff is available
24 hours a day, 7 days a week to meet the individual hospital
needs.

Correctional Facilities Dialysis
Physicians Dialysis has over 15 years of continuous correctional dialysis experience. Physicians Dialysis specializes in dialyzing patients
in alternative sites such as correctional facilities. Physicians Dialysis through
its subsidiaries, provides hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis
services to 2 maximum security prisons and 12 county jails.
Treatments are provided in a variety of settings such as those
similar to out-patient dialysis centers, one-on-one acute bedside
treatments, and staff-assisted hemodialysis treatments. Physicians Dialysis
provides complete care of the correctional ESRD patient as it
relates to anemia management, access management and infection
control monitoring, which results in savings to the Correctional
Institutions and County Jails. Our staff is familiar with Correctional
Institutions and County Jail protocols to ensure a safe and
effective treatment. Physicians Dialysis has never missed a scheduled treatment
for any correctional facility and readily accommodates schedule
changes to meet the needs of the correctional facilities.
In-Center Dialysis
Physicians Dialysis owns and operates state-of-the-art Dialysis Centers throughout
Florida. Our facilities are designed with the patient in mind
and focus on patient comfort and quality of care. Our dialysis
facilities contain:
- New state-of-the-art dialysis equipment offering the
latest technology available to ESRD patients
- Individual flat panel TV’s with Cable/Direct TV programming
- Highly trained nursing and technical staff members who
are certified by an accrediting authority such as the American
Nephrology Nurses Association (ANNA)
- Individualized support services given by our Social
Workers and Dieticians to meet the psychosocial and renal
dietary needs of the ESRD patients
- Regular monthly Quality Assurance Meetings by the healthcare
team comprised of the Nephrologist, Renal RN, Renal RD and
the Renal Social Worker. These meetings ensure patients
receive the highest quality and standard of care.
Nephrology Practice Management
Physicians Dialysis offers a Physician Practice Management Solution customized to address the needs of Nephrology practices. Physicians Dialysis has been providing Nephrologists with skilled leadership, back office services, managed care expertise, access to capital, and information systems for over 15 years.

Renal Pharmacy
In 2003 Physicians Dialysis opened a full-service retail pharmacy which focuses
on the special needs of South Florida’s Dialysis Community.
Renal Pharmacy Services is available for consultation at your
dialysis facility, nursing home, doctor’s office or any other
location that presents a need. Renal Pharmacy Services offers
free delivery in our service area as well as personalized individualized
care to our customers by our pharmacist. This benefit offers
a personal, friendly environment instead of visiting a large
corporate owned pharmacy chain. Renal Pharmacy Services also
offers $4.00 prescriptions on selective medications.
